Gaba Gaba House
Getting There
Flights
Direct flights to Lamu from Nairobi arrive every day, landing on Manda Island, opposite Lamu Town. The village of Shela is about 20 minutes away by boat. Tommy or Abdalla from Gaba Gaba House will arrange a boat for you and meet you at the airport. When you arrive, and are waiting for your bags, you’ll see them wearing a Gaba Gaba House t-shirt at the entrance beyond which only passengers are allowed.
Flights are operated by fly540, JamboJet and Kenya Airways from the main Nairobi Kenyatta airport. Air Kenya and SafariLink fly to Lamu from Wilson airport, about half an hour from Kenyatta airport.
Many flights come via Malindi, less than 30 minutes away by plane. From Malindi you can also take off for a safari in the wilds of Tsaavo Park.
